So, I attended the Spare the Air festival in Fullerton this weekend. Not only did I get a VIP bracelet for free as I was trying to sneak in, but I also met 3/4 of the Used. Missed out on Dan Whitesides the drummer, but that’s for the best as I might have used my ninja moves on him so I could take his place. Jeph, the bassist, is a very cool guy. He shared some top secret information that will help propel me to rock superstardom. Go Jeph. For reasons I never really learned, they played a “special acoustic set,” with just voice and guitar, which was unexpectedly rich-sounding.

In Blast From The Past news, Lit sounded very good. Their singer’s toddler-ish daughter was dancing on stage during The Used’s performance. Saosin, meanwhile, was very sloppy.
